Last week, Lupe took you with him as he endured his first week of Ramadan. Strugglin' to keep up, he still manages to get work done on both the musical and business sides of his hustle. Yeah, we know you're jealous of his line of skate decks. Yeah, we know you're jealous of his sneaker collabo with ST0404. Yeah we know you're jealous of freebies from DC, DGK and Motorola. Lupe Fiasco is one of the most anticpated artists' of late to come from the Chicago grounds. He got down on Kanye Wests' Late Registration's "Touch the Sky" and his latest single, "Kick...Push...Coast" has the streets buzzing. With Jay Z co-executive producing his forthcoming LP, "Food & Liquor", it's a sure bet you'll hear more of the homie from the windy city.
A few weeks back I asked our homie, Lupe Fiasco, if he'd be down to do a write up for IQMND. We threw some ideas back and forth, the end result was dope. Over the next four weeks Lupe will share the day to day life of a rapper/fashionista at work and play and everything in between.
So it begins....

Thursday
... Thursday ummm oh on my break i went window shopping 4 polos ... thats about it
Friday
I had to go down to SISDA (Simpson Street Development Association) to get my SYEP ID I woke up late because I set my alarm ... it went off ... I turned it off then I went right back to sleep sooo, when I woke up I rushed myself out. I wasnt paying attention on the train so I got off 2 stops to late and sumone had the smart idea to make so that the 2 different directions each had their own station (most have 1 with other entrances) so I had to pay again to go back, and that was my last 2 dollars, so b4 I got on i called and told my mom I was stranded and she said to get spend the money and called her back later. Then when I went they said I had to wait until 2, it was about 1:11, other people where their to get their debit cards. Then my mom came to give me the money to get home and told me I might as well leave because they had us standing in the hot @$$ sun so I went with her to work ... Then, after her work day was over we went to the movies. We saw Wedding Crashers and The Island (in that order). Wedding Crashers was hilarious VINCE VAUGHN ROCKS!, I gotta get it when it comes out on DVD. The Island was a hot movie alot of action and a hot plot with some comedy squeezed in (but doesnt every movie have some comedy squeezed in)
Saturday
Saturday I just felt like going outside and skateboarding so I took my bothers skateboard and I went outside. I was out there praticing my ollie (I hardly get any hieght at all) so I'm just attempting to jump the curbs and I was just riding around practicing my manual and mose manual(I cant do either thats why im practicing), At least I'm great with the navigation, lol. It was my friends b-day so I went to his house fora party/get together. We ate some crabs, lol (pause). Anyway when it was over I was practicing my ollie again, ok this is first time I got pretty high(well, high enough), and I fell and busted my ass ... not cool ... so not cool, lol, anyway after a while I went inside, it was about 10pm, my big toes were hurtin and I wanted to sleep ... those were the highlights of my week, enjoi.
p.s. I got paid and they jipped me and im tryna fix that ish now

Ok im starting over with this so i deleted all old entries. Today i got my new B5 cd. I'm happy, this is like the only cd i've gotten on it's release date ... so yea.
I'm getting paid this week and I don't want to explain the work program in depth but basically it's this program (SYEP//Summer Youth Employment Program), its offerend only in NYC and they give jobs to kids from 14 all the way to 21 but hopefully you can your own job by 16, anyway ... we're like volunteers except we get paid, i'm gonna leave it there. So, I get paid this week and they give us debit cards so I have to go pick up my debit card tomorrow and the first thing I am gonna do when I get paid is buy an MP3 player, the MP3 player i plan on getting really gives the iPod mini a run for its money, it's actually a whole lot better beacause it has a lot more features. THE ZEN MICRO ROCKS!
Thats about it, tomorrow i'll probably post on my lunch break. BE EASY!
P.S. I'm trying to use proper grammar and spelling, lol, YEAAAAAA
